This is the first song I ever wrote, composed entirely on an Ensoniq VSX-sd in 1994. It’s called “Song West” because each new song you created in the Ensoniq got the default name of “Song Newest.” For whatever reason, I just deleted the “Ne” and it became “Song West.” Oh the innocence of childhood!

Skie

Skie is the sixth track in the All Under Heaven album. This song was written as a soundtrack for a short animated film about the love between two warriors who realize they cannot beat their enemies, so they allow themselves to be destroyed together. The film was never made, but the song still captures a lot of what the film was supposed to be about: love and sacrifice.
